New EPPIC release - 2026.2.1

The maintenance release 2026.2.1 of the EPPIC pre- and post-processing application is available for download.

Novemver 2026 Release contains additional features:

New features:

• ±X/±Y/±Z now snaps to a fixed orientation basis rather than a roll-preserving rotation.

• Windows packaging split into two separate installers — EPPIC and the RLM license server — with per-user install and licensing setup.

• import STL geometry alongside CFD model.

• Improved streamline selection and deselection while preserving reliable surface seed placement and supporting all configured mouse-control presets.

• Added support for importing and visualizing Arion Aero CGNS exports, including structural points alongside CFD surfaces. The new import browser supports selecting specific CGNS or fvlayout families.

Fixes:

• Fixed corrupted "Entire Window" screenshots and movies, and sharpened recorded animations: the movie bitrate now scales with the output size, the analyze panel placement / background / resolution are correct in captures, the double plot is gone, and the display-file dialog is asked once per case instead of once per file.

• Fixed the vector Project plane = Surface option, which used a component-wise multiply instead of a dot product, so the projected arrows were wrong.

• plot defaults changes - scalar picking, coordinate surface updates into plot data.

• Fixed coordinate-surface scalar visualization for multi-zone Arion and Ember simulations, including moving-grid datasets, while improving plane-distance precision and robustness.

• Fixed display restoration so coordinate surfaces and their plots remain correctly associated after surfaces are deleted, reordered, recreated, or loaded from another display.

• Arion Output and Log: Restored missing parameter names and descriptions in “Select Desired Data” and the selected output-parameter table.

• Arion Star-CD import: Fixed an issue that could prevent imported mesh boundaries from appearing or cause the application to stop responding.

• Arion input export: Corrected output-path definitions and plot, log, table, and restart-file prefixes, including missing plot filenames.

• Arion boundary conditions: Explicitly entered pressure values are now included in exported solver input files.

• Arion CGNS export: CGNS meshes are now exported with the correct format and mesh filename, including when blocks are renamed.

• Arion equilibrium-air settings: Corrected the exported distribution keyword from  tahn  to  tanh.

• Arion write CFL reduction attempts as -time.step.reduction in --solve.

• EZAir project opening: Fixed incorrect restoration of wire colors and line thickness from saved  .eppic  files.

• EZAir load errors: Invalid or incomplete embedded display settings now report an error instead of silently opening with partially restored settings.

License with CGNS module enabled  will be issued to customers who paid for post-processing features.

Important Notice:
Starting from version 2026.1.1, Linux and Windows versions of EPPIC are shipped as installers.
Both installers allow system-wide or non-privileged installation modes.

Windows installer is GUI driven.

Linux installer usage:

[sudo] bash EPPIC_2026.2.1-0-ga358169_qt5.15.2.sh [-s] [-d destination]
