New EPPIC release - 2026.2.0

The maintenance release 2026.2.0 of the EPPIC pre- and post-processing application is available for download.

September 2026 Release contains additional features:

New features:

  • Faster loading of cases with multiple CGNS files. Adds an optional preference to prepare boundary surfaces on several threads — off by default, with a configurable thread count (0 = automatic).
  • Gradients and integration as calculator operations. New rank-typed field-expression engine (scalar / vector / tensor aware) with vector operators (mag, dot, cosangle, …) and gradient scalars including helicity and normalized helicity; expression picker reorganised into operator groups; better validation of empty formulas, tensor results and gradient / parent errors; clearer variable delete confirmation.
  •  Vector arrows are now drawn on unstructured BC / wall surfaces.

Fixes:

  • Fixed corrupted “Entire Window” screenshots and movies, and sharpened recorded animations: the movie bitrate now scales with the output size, the analyze panel placement / background / resolution are correct in captures, the double plot is gone, and the display-file dialog is asked once per case instead of once per file.
  • ±X/±Y/±Z now snaps to a fixed orientation basis rather than a roll-preserving rotation.
  • Windows packaging split into two separate installers — EPPIC and the RLM license server — with per-user install and licensing setup.
  • Fixed the vector Project plane = Surface option, which used a component-wise multiply instead of a dot product, so the projected arrows were wrong.

License with CGNS module enabled  will be issued to customers who paid for post-processing features.

Important Notice:
Starting from version 2026.1.1, Linux and Windows versions of EPPIC are shipped as installers.

(default: /opt/EPPIC/EPPIC_2026.2.0_qt5.15.2)

The files are avaliable for download from our website in the EPPIC download secion.

This release requires an RLM license, floating or node-locked, EPPIC RLM package is available for download along with EPPIC.
